The Humoral Effects of Epin in Siberian Sturgeon (acipenser Baeri Brandt)
نویسنده
چکیده
Immersing Siberian sturgeon fry of an average body mass of 40 ± 4 g in epin solution (0.1 mg l -1 ) resulted in an increase of ceruloplasmin level over the entire experimental period (P < 0.001). The differences between the treated and control groups gradually increased reaching the maximum in the fourth and fifth weeks of the study when average levels of ceruloplasmin in the epin-treated group were 2.5 and 5.7-fold higher, respectively. In the control group, ceruloplasmin levels were considerably higher in the first four weeks in comparison to the last two weeks (P < 0.01). The bacteriolytic activity of lysozyme increased up to 50% compared to the control group (P < 0.05) in the first and fourth weeks. The sturgeon in the epin-treated group also showed from 10 to 65% higher concentrations of -globulin levels than the control fish, and in the second week the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.01). Simultaneously, total protein concentrations also increased (P < 0.05).

Effects of natural polymer (Poly-β-hydroxybutyrate) and its degrading bacteria on lipid metabolism and digestive tract pH in Siberian Sturgeon Acipenser baerii Brandt, 1869 fingerlings
Five hundred and ninety two Siberian sturgeon (A. baerii) fingerlings (average weight, 11.1±0.9 g) were randomly distributed in 16 tanks (150 L) at a density of 35 fish per tank and fed different treatments (Control, degrading bacteria, 2% PHB, degrading bacteria + 2%PHB) for 60 days. At the end of the experiment, the results indicated that the fish fed PHB or bacteria treatments had low midgut...

This study aimed to determine the effects of replacement fish meal by different levels of gammarus meal on growth performance and body composition of juvenile Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baerii). We distributed 245 Siberian sturgeon juveniles (initial body weight: 14.24±0.15 g) in five treatments and three replications. The experimental diets were replaced by 10%, 20%, 30%, and 40% gammarus me...

The aim of this study was to compare physiological responses in Siberian sturgeon (Acipenser baeri) induced by propofol and CO2 anaesthesia. Two procedures were applied during the experiment. In procedure I, blood samples were collected immediately after exposure (1, 2, 5, 10 min) to the anaesthetic. In procedure II, fish were exposed to the anaesthetic for 10 minutes and then were moved to ana...

Selenium is one of the most essential trace elements in fishes. Therefore, determining the optimal level of selenium in the fish diet is one of the main concerns of researchers. This study investigated the effects of Sel-Plex (Selenium yeast) supplement on the hematological parameters and immunological parameters, and growth performance in Siberian Sturgeon, Acipenser baerii. The Siberian Sturg...
متن کاملEvolutionary relations and population differentiation of Acipenser gueldenstaedtii Brandt, Acipenser persicus Borodin, and Acipenser baerii Brandt
Russian ( Acipenser gueldenstaedtii), Persian ( A. persicus) and Siberian ( A. baerii) sturgeons are closely related 'Ponto-Caspian' species. Investigation of their population structure is an important problem, the solution of which determines measures for conservation of these species. According to previous studies, 'baerii-like' mitotypes were found in the Caspian Sea among 35% of Russian stu...
